Our approach

Weddings days are strange. In our culture- and in many cultures- there are so many traditions, expectations, and ideas of what a wedding should be. Instagram and social media have compounded this and made weddings look like this cosmetic day full of things you feel like you HAVE to do and have, when so many couples don’t really stop to think about what they really want. A wedding day can look however you want it to. Four people in attendance? 400? Atop a mountain, in a backyard, living room, church? 5 minute ceremony or 50? It is TRULY up to you, and there is no wrong answer.

Here’s the thing about us as photographers. We have no opinion of what you should do. Eric and I want to know what you two care about and we want to document all that takes place on your wedding day, and truly we believe that whatever you plan is worthy of documentation and we want to be there for it. This is your story, not ours. These are (some of your) very favorite people in the world, and we want to honor them and you by telling the truth about what that special day you planned looked like. Because really it’s not about how you do it, it’s that you’re doing it.

You’re getting married! You’re professing your love to each other, allowing other people to watch one of the most special celebrations of love that can happen in life. That’s what we care about.

So, if we talk about your wedding day, tell us about that. What you hope it FEELS like, and who you’re most looking forward to seeing. Let us serve you by being your witnesses, there for the day to be present, attentive, and honest in our storytelling of your day.

β€œThank you, thank you, thank you!!

We are over the moon. I cried all over again at the photos where we're hugging after the ceremony (and laughed as that moment was interrupted by my Uncle Chuck). The subplot of everyone trying to fix that stubborn little flamingo in the background of the photos. I actually don't know if I've ever seen my dad laugh as big as he did talking to Travis's stepdad. All the wonderful moments of our dear friends- and of course, our deer friends! (Sorry, I had to.) So much goodness crammed into one hot little day. Thank you for being by our sides on our wedding day. We're still receiving compliments about you guys and no one has even seen the photos yet!

We can't thank you enough. Seriously!”
