What are your prices?

Check out our pricing page for weddings & family lifestyle sessions. If there is anything else you’re wondering about send us an email and we’ll let you know!

Do you both shoot all sessions?

Weddings and engagement sessions include both Eric and Sarah, lifestyle sessions are just Sarah- unless otherwise stated.

What is included in your wedding coverage?

All coverage includes both Eric and Sarah, and you can expect around 80-150 photos per hour of coverage depending on how many people are present. You’ll receive edited, high resolution photos in an online gallery where you can download them and share with friends and family. Beyond that, we provide the option to order prints or albums as well as a way to get your images off your hard drives and into your hands.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes! Engagement sessions are always available as an add on to your package. We love engagement sessions as we feel like this gives us a great chance to get to know you both before the wedding, and it gets you more comfortable with our cameras and us.

What if I don’t have an engagement session?

That’s fine! We’d still like to either meet sometime before the wedding if feasible or schedule a couple of Skype sessions so we can get to know each other.

How do you describe your style of shooting on a wedding day?

First thing- we’re not there for ourselves. We’re there to capture the two of you- and the people that came to celebrate the day with you. This day would be happening whether we’re there or not, and we don’t ever want a couple to change any part of their day to suit us. We aren’t going to ask you to stand in strange poses and gaze into the distance, we’re not going to drag you away from the party 10 different times so we get that “perfect shot”. We’re there to document the day in an unobtrusive and authentic way. We want to capture the moments that you’re part of, and the moments that you miss out on because you’re across the room. When you receive your pictures, we hope there are so many little stories you get to see that on the day you were unaware of. Years from now we hope the photos transport you back to that day, and help you remember exactly what it felt like. No trickery, no fake laughing, just an honest account of what your wedding day looked like.

Will you help us set up a general timeline for our wedding day?

We’re happy to talk through what you two are planning for the day and give you insight into what we’ve seen work well for others and share what we know for how long things typically take. However, something we want you to make sure you know is that this day is NOT about us and how much time WE need for things. This day is about the two of you and the people coming around you to witness and celebrate the occasion. Every wedding is different, and couples allow more or less time here and there according to what matters most to them.

How many photos will be included?

For weddings, you can expect roughly 80-150 full-resolution, edited images per hour of coverage. So for an 8 hour wedding, that’s 640-1200 images.

For lifestyle sessions, you can expect at least 50 full-res, edited photos.

Where should we go for a family lifestyle session?

Family lifestyle sessions take place in your home. We try to capture what your family is all about, and what better way than to be in your own house, the place where everyone is most comfortable and where everyone spends most of their time. If there’s another place in town you frequent and is meaningful, we can go there as well if you’re hoping for photos outside the house- but the main thing this session is for is to preserve memories, so choosing the places that you normally hang out in is our recommendation!

Why would I want a family lifestyle session and not a more typical portrait session?

You want it because you want to remember what your family was really like at this stage. The faces your children make at that age, the specific games, and routines that were a must-do on a daily basis. You’re hoping for photos that help you remember all those moments that go by too quickly. Sitting on a couch and saying “cheese” is great, but it doesn’t really remind you of what life was like during that time.

What should we wear? (this applies to family sessions & engagements!)

Wear what you’re comfortable in. Make sure your children are wearing what they’re comfortable in. We love textures and layers, but the main thing to keep in mind is to wear what makes you feel good and is something that feels like you. If you really need a guideline, avoid words on clothing, and you can try for the family to not wear clashing colors.

What if I would like you to stay longer than 1-2 hours for our family session?

Let’s talk about it! 1-2 hours is the starting point for family sessions, but I’d love to hear what you had in mind.

Do you host our photos online?

Yes, we use an online gallery to host your photos where you download all of your photos through that gallery. You can also share the photos with family and friends from there, and anyone with the link can purchase prints through the gallery using a professional printer.

are the photos we receive in black & white or color?

You’ll get a mix of both color and black and white images.

Do you ever work with non-profits?

Yes, absolutely! When our time allows, we love working with non-profits. If you’re wondering if you can convince us to shoot an event for you, please don’t hesitate to email us! We have previously provided photos for the Madison Fairshare CSA coalition’s Bike the Barn events, the Goodman Community Center, and also Madison’s Eat for Equity Chapter.
